Become a Beach Wheelchair Volunteer

St Andrews Beach Wheelchairs is a project which provides adapted wheelchairs to people with limited or no mobility to allow them to access West Sands beach, St Andrews.

What does it involve?

The role is very simple - you would be based as our Beach Wheelchair hut and would provide beach wheelchairs to people who have booked a slot or to people who pop by on the day.

Volunteers are added to the monthly rota (based on their availability) for a 3 hour slot (either in the morning or afternoon).

Full training is provided for the role.

When does the project run?

The Beach Wheelchair project runs Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays from April until September each year.
